Today me and Jess have attended an event planning meeting for the Broomhill Festival taking place in June

The main reason we went was to collect a little bit more inside information on the event, exactly what it’s purpose it is and perhaps some of its impacts. Together we’re going to be putting together an exhibition board and eventually pitching the event to our tutors for ‘funding’

The first thing I noticed once we arrived was how welcoming everybody was

As soon as we arrived everyone was really lovely and immediately made you feel like part of the teamĀ

The festival raises money for local charities & is made up of smaller events from garden parties, to history walks, to political and global discussions. Personally I’m really looking forward to the live music at costa – I think sitting down with a coffee, a chocolate brownie and listening to some music sounds like an entirely lovely way to spend the afternoon

After meeting the people who spend their time organising the festival, from Uni students to local residents, it’s made me even more enthusiastic about this latest assignment and I can’t wait to get creative and put together a mini exhibition on the festival itself
